New Baby

Today marks the 18th week of our second pregnancy. It has been an interesting ride so far especially with a young Cedrick being the absolute epitome of a two-year old. It will be a long and crazy pregnancy. Here is a summary of the pregnancy so far:

October 30- Dream that an older man told me, "It's a girl- you had better pick out a name." (Didn't know for sure that I was pregnant yet)

Week 4- November 03-09

* Took pregnancy test-Positive :)
* Craving fruit, cheese, crackers, spicy ramen (even for breakfast) *Can't stand eggs, fried bologna, chocolate or ice cream.
* Working out (Turbofire and Brazil Butt Lift)

Week 5- November 10-16

* Tired and irritable when situations become really stressful, taking in very minimal caffeine now-less motivation- mini-naps on chair while watching Ced.
* Already wearing some maternity clothes- a little embarrassing- but honestly it is what it is...my belly popped really fast this time.
* No exercise this week...soo exhausted
* Eating lots of potatoes and salty foods this week. Like vegetables, no sweet foods (they make me sick)
* Bought car seat (Pre-black Friday sale)

Week 6- November 17-23

* Very Foggy and Tired (Can't think clearly)
* Nausea starting
* Needing naps everyday- feeling flutters in lowers abdomen (probably too early to be baby...but I can't help feeling it might be)
* Exercising again (twice this week) - Having crazy dreams- end of the world-Saw baby girl wrapped in the baby blanket I have been crochetting.
* Eating to control nausea: Crackers and cheese, breakfast is commonly spaghetti noodles with olive oil, Parmesan cheese, and red pepper flakes. Still can't eat ice cream or anything with a milk base.
* Working on baby blanket

Week 7- November 24-30

*Temper is evening out, lots of snuggles with Cedrick. Still feeling strange flutters. *Dizzy at times, only wearing maternity clothes now. I look pregnant now. Walking with Ced in the park and to the playground.
*Dreamed of a little boy (2 girl dreams and one boy dream...hmmm, what are we having...twins ??)
*Eating fried potatoes every day now...loving raspberries, pineapple, strawberries..controlling nausea with diet ginger ale...Eating more almonds and craving Mexican food.

Week 8- December 01-07

* Still tired this week but not needing naps
*  Nausea is almost gone this week
*Doing strength training
* Can't stand sugary things

Week 9- December 08-14

* Found out we are moving in a month this week- annoyed and simply amazed
* No more nausea- higher appetite- but can't eat much (stomach aches)
* Crazy, post-apocalyptic dreams
*Fried foods sometimes, eating lots of cereal and milk now, chicken noodle soup
* Packing this week

Week 10- December 15-21

* A little tired this week
*Weight lifting and cardio (twice this week)

Week 11- December 22-28

* Exhaustion sets in at 9 pm- falling asleep instantly
* Stomach aches
* no exercise this week- some longer walks-lots of cleaning and organizing
* Saw Grandpa in my dream
* Increased fruit and salads

Week 12- December 29-January 04

* Tired and a bit moody (moving next week)
* Belly is rounding out now
* Craving mostly fried foods
*Lots of organizing and cleaning

Week 13- January 05-11

* Moved this week and settled into the hotel on the 7th.
* Exhausted is no where near the word for how the entire family is feeling. Cleaned entire house top to bottom, transported car, etc. Ready to relax.
* Felt first absolute baby movement "butterflies". Strong pull on the right abdominal.
* Eating out now- no kitchen :/ Really sad about that... Hoping that this doesn't affect the baby's and Cedrick's health too badly.

Week 14-  January 12-18

* Tired and quickly exhausted-naps practically daily.
* Cedrick has cabin fever now and it is affecting all of us- trying to add in walks and small trips to help him adjust.
* Large belly this week, showing on the sides now
* Pulled tendon in upper thigh this week ... horrible timing :(
* Craving vegetables, pasta and shrimp
* We went out to have Mongolian BBQ this week, fresh zucchini, squash, and loads of Asian fired meats with spicy sauce (Soooo incredibly yummy!)
* Returned car seat this week too big for our car :(

* Ultrasound on the 16th- They told me that they believe that there is a 95% chance that we are having a girl. They didn't see a penis at this time. However they weren't able to get great shots during the early part of the ultrasound because the baby wasn't moving and was crossing its legs at its knees and ankles and had the cord in between its legs. I had eaten a cinnabun, some fires and a diet mt dew in order to get the baby to move...but the baby was napping. Baby finally started moving at the end. Excited for either a boy or a girl ...but we definitely want to know for sure! :)

Week 15-  January 19-25

* Recovering from flight and jet lag- sleeping a lot and feeling as if I just got off of a trampoline all day on the 18th and the morning of the 19th.
* Larger belly
* Feeling a bit dehydrated- drinking tons of water
* Lots of flutters this week- almost mini-kicks now...baby feels really high.

Heinrich checked into his unit- it seems fairly normal and he has received a decent amount of off time to get checked into post and get settled.

Explored off post this weekend and got some really tasty doughnuts and found a Target :)

Week 16- January 26- February 01

* Mild temper...a little tired of eating out and ready to start cooking for my family
* Took belly shot this week (I will post all of those in another post later ;)
* Getting sick (new bugs in the air)
* Sharp pains on the sides with quick movements
* Chasing Ceddie this week- his favorite game is pretending to be motorcycles and chasing each other around.
* Eating tons of fruits everyday- lots of snacking now...eating every few hours (snacking on popcorn, almonds, and water.

Week 17- February 02-08

* Exhausted- napping with Cedrick :) and shamelessly enjoying all those cuddles from my crazy active toddler
* Had salmon this week- really tasty! Can't get enough shrimp and pasta...looking forward to cooking all of our meals :)

Baby Appt on the 6th:
Temp: 100 degrees F
Baby Heartbeat:  160 bpm
Had nausea before the appt

That will be all for this post! Lengthy I know but at least we are caught up with the family for the last 3 months :)
